Volunteer Day

The Bike Kitchen is open for volunteering on Wednesdays from 11am-5pm with a midday mechanical workshop from 1pm-2pm only for volunteers! Volunteers help us to recycle damaged bikes, as well as clean and sort reusable components. Volunteers who become proficient with recycling tasks will then graduate to refurbishing bikes for our Bici Libre and Pedals for the People programs.

How it works:

On Wednesdays, work stands are reserved for volunteers. Volunteers can drop-in at any point during the day without prior sign-up and are assigned tasks based on their previous volunteer experience, mechanical ability, and the needs of the shop at the time.
