The second Wednesday of the month from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. is Women and Queer Night at the Bike Kitchen!
The aim of Women and Queer Night is to provide a safe and positive space for anyone who identifies as female and/or queer to learn about bike maintenance in a relaxed environment led by female and/or LGBTQ identified mechanics and volunteers to encourage diversity in the cycling community.
The program structure is very flexible—bring your bike and fix it with our tools, come with questions and ask away, or learn by watching other folks work on their bikes. Beginners are very encouraged to attend!
Occasionally the program is rescheduled due to holidays and time conflicts, so please check our programs schedule for upcoming dates and shop closures or email programs(at)bikecoop.ca to confirm the date and time.
Bring: Your bicycle! If you have one. If you do not have a bicycle but want to learn you are absolutely welcome to join us and learn!
Cost: FREE! And we provide a pizza dinner from PieR Squared for all participants, so come hungry!
Inquire at programs(at)bikecoop.ca if you have any questions. If you have suggestions on how to make this event more inclusive your comments are always welcome.
